Our Mission & Vision
Mission
To transform the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in North Rift Kenya through sustainable education, healthcare, and community empowerment initiatives that break the cycle of poverty and create opportunities for future generations.
Vision
We envision thriving communities in North Rift Kenya where every child has access to quality education, healthcare, and the opportunity to reach their full potential, regardless of their background or circumstances.
Our Commitment
We are committed to community-driven, sustainable development that respects local culture and wisdom while implementing evidence-based solutions. We believe in transparency, accountability, and long-term engagement that creates lasting positive change.
Our Journey
2009
JCIC was founded by a group of concerned community members in response to the growing number of orphaned children in North Rift Kenya following post-election violence and HIV/AIDS crisis.
2011
Launched our first education support program for 50 orphaned children, providing school fees, uniforms, and basic necessities.
2013
Established our feeding program to address malnutrition among vulnerable children and expanded education support to 150 children.
2015
Initiated the Girls Rescue Program to protect young girls from early marriages and harmful cultural practices, rescuing our first 15 girls.
2017
Expanded our community reach by establishing three satellite centers in remote areas and increased support to 300 children.
2019
Celebrated our 10th anniversary with the launch of the Youth Development Program and vocational training center, supporting 100 youth with skills and entrepreneurship training.
2021
Expanded healthcare services to include regular health check-ups, vaccinations, and psychosocial support for all beneficiaries and their families.
2023
Reached milestone of supporting 700 children across all programs and celebrated the graduation of our first cohort of 25 university students who were once in our orphan support program.
Present
JCIC continues to expand its impact through sustainable initiatives, community partnerships, and holistic approaches to child development and community empowerment.
